Protecting mental health, one person at a time
-
We need help in lots of ways such as Peer Support, Awareness Team, Social Media Team, Admin Team, Fundraising Team and Gatekeepers.
Here's a brief overview of some of the roles:
-
Gatekeepers
- Welcome anyone that arrives and ensure there’s enough support volunteers to assist
- Control the number of people in the building at any one time
- Collaborate with emergency services if needed
- Provide tea/coffee to individuals receiving support and/or their companions
Note: Gatekeepers do not actually sit with the person in distress to try support them but their role is very important for everyone’s safety and comfort
-
Peer Support

- Match a person in distress with possible external supports that may help in their recovery
