We are guided by our Values & Principles
-
We operate by the values and principles of:
- Respect
- Person Centred Care
- Best Practices in Good Corporate Governance
- The Safety of Service Users and Volunteers
We achieve this by using a Collaborative Approach in the organisations we work with.
Respect
-
We offer a non-judgmental peer-led service, where at all times, we respect the person that presents to us by empowering them to believe in their own recovery.
Person Centred Care
-
We see and treat the people that use our service as equals in the planning and support offered by our volunteers. The opinions and wishes of the person are held in very high regard and the focus is kept on the needs of the individual rather than on a diagnosis or symptoms.
Best practices in Good Corporate Governance
-
We strive to adhere to the best corporate governance at all times in transparency, ethical decisions and the quality of the service we offer. We will be in line at all times with the Financial Guidelines of the Charity Regulator and any other relevant body eg Tusla/ HSE.
Safety of Service Users and Volunteers
-
In all aspects of our work the immediate safety alongside the long-term welfare of both the service users and staff are the highest priority. Adequate training and supports for volunteers will be the main factor in this priority.
Collaborative Approach
-
The Haven Hub has set up a steering committee comprising of local voluntary and mental health organisations so the experience and expertise of all these groups can collaborate to face current challenges. A collaborative approach is proactively sought and valued within the organisation.
